We’re looking for a Junior Discretionary Portfolio Manager to support the day-to-day operational management of our DPM mandates. The role provides broad visibility into how discretionary portfolio management activities are supported, monitored and reported, with close mentorship from senior team members, and the opportunity to progressively take on broader portfolio management responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operational management of DPM mandates, including trade implementation and settlements, cash management, and account reconciliations
- Monitor mandates’ performances and generate periodic and ad hoc performance and risk reports for portfolio managers and senior stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Trading Desk, Middle Office, etc.) to resolve operational issues efficiently. Monitor and maintain accurate portfolios data across internal IT systems
- Contribute to the evolution and robustness of portfolio reporting frameworks and support compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies and client management agreements
- Perform periodic controls and monitor key risk indicator (restrictions, corporate actions, etc). Escalate issues as needed and support initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of existing controls
- Identify inefficiencies in operational workflows and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Contribute to process documentation and best practices
- Support senior portfolio managers in the preparation of client meetings and mandate transitions
