Micro-economic challenge
On Friday, April 29, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the “Ecole de Commerce et de Gestion du Luxembourg” (ECG) to our premises, to carry out a micro-economic
challenge on the theme of “Sustainability”.
The students prepared files and came to pitch their presentations in front of the members of a jury composed of Joseph Britz (Director of the ECG), Gwennaël Godot (Senior Project Manager), Didier Richter (Head of Daily Banking & Payments), Sabrina Diani (Project Manager), Loïc Bertolloti (Product Manager) and Manon Stab (Marketing Officer).
Thanks again to the students and the ECG for their presentations and Marcel Mathieu (Senior Project Manager at BIL) for the organisation!
We took advantage of this opportunity to offer all the students a special gift: the planting of their tree in the #BILforest.
Indeed, as part of the internal BIL Challenge competition, the “BIL Forest” project developed by Sabrina Diani was created, in collaboration with Treedom, to be implemented within the bank.
What is Treedom?
Treedom is a company that allows you to plant trees remotely (for individuals and companies) but also and above all to follow online, via a dedicated profile, the evolution of the agroforestry project to which it belongs, not only to have obvious environmental impacts, but also economic and social impacts by supporting local communities.
The ECG students are therefore the first to contribute to the development of the first "BIL Forest" in Kenya, thanks to a pop-up card they received containing a QR Code to scan to plant one of the trees of our forest, and thus be able to receive updates about the agroforestry project over time.
