Key objectives of the job:
- Be in charge of organizing and executing all accounting operations within the organization (accounts payable, VAT, reconciliations, and budget)
- Ensure the production and preparation of financial statements, annual budget reports, forecasts and statistics in compliance with national regulations and/or international accounting standards
- May head financial operations such as budgeting, treasury, tax and management accounting
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and the parent organization
- Be in charge of monitoring and issuing reports in compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
Deliverables and key activities:
- Responsible for financial analyses, providing financial accounting services for head office and/or group companies.
- Verify, allocate and post details of transactions in journals such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss and other items pertinent to operation of business. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger, documenting business transactions.
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
- Audit contracts, orders and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate transactions prior to settlement.
- Install, modify, documents and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
- Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.
- Prepare, compile and analyze statutory reporting in line with the legal requirements.
