Assistant Portfolio Manager / Associate Relationship Manager (M/F)

Responsibilities

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB

  1. Be a dedicated touch point for client on administrative / account management and operational activities
  2. Support the Portfolio Managers (PMs) in administrative tasks and operational fulfillments. Key activities include execution monitoring (orders, credit limits, etc), KYC surveillance (missing documents, account opening), and PMs support (meeting preparation / follow-up
  3. Could manage commercial relationships with his/her own clients with the support of the PMs
  4. Participate in joint business development initiatives within the team and provide input about potential new business opportunities (product offering) or on market.

DELIVRABLES AND KEY ACTIVITIES

  1. Provide high-level administrative, operational and commercial assistance to the PMs in client management
  2. Ensure the practical application of all the procedures, KYC surveillance permanent documentation of client activity and of the overall interaction with the client and monitoring of important transactions
  3. Day-to-day management and control of all the client queries, in collaboration with PMs (accounts opening, placements and investments, client visits, transfers, etc.)
  4. Identify client needs and share the information with the PMs
  5. Prepare the offers and proposals in collaboration with the PMs
  6. Proactive follow up of accounts status.

Must-have requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Domain of expertise

  • Banking environment

Education

  • Finance, Business Administration or Economics
  • Master

Languages

  • Mandatory languages : French and English and necessary language(s) for exercising the function. Fluency in Luxembourgish would be a strong asset

Banking techniques

  • Typically at least 3 years of experience in banking environment

IT tools

  • BLS, BLSNet, Triple A

Experience

  • 3 years minimum

More requirements

  • Demonstrate commercial ability to empathize with the needs and concerns of clients
  • Understanding of the wealth management offer (IM products, BSPs, funds, loans…)
  • Basic understanding of retail and corporate banking offer
  • Basic understanding of all relevant cross-border and tax considerations
  • Put the client first and provide a personal service
  • Well-organized and disciplined, able to handle multiple tasks and client requests in a structured way
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Full knowledge of relevant internal processes and compliance obligations.
